Subject: Mandatory Requirement for Importer/Cargo Owners Mobile number and Email address on the Bill of Lading while submitting the Import Manifest to Saudi Arabia.  

We would like to bring to your immediate attention a mandatory requirement regarding shipments to Saudi Arabia, in accordance with local customs regulations. This requirement pertains specifically to the Importer/Cargo Owners details and is essential for the smooth clearance of goods.  

Mandatory Requirement:  

• The Importer/Cargo Owners Mobile number & Email Address must be clearly stated in the Consignee / Notify information section on the Bill of Lading (BL). This is necessary for proper manifest processing.  
• This requirement is eƯective from May 1, 2024.  

Exceptions to this requirement are as follows:

• For consignments listed as "To Order," the Mobile number & Email Address of the notify party must be provided.  
• For consignments to banks, the Mobile number & Email Address of the notify party must be provided. 

Failure to comply with this regulation may result in significant penalties, including increased fines and delays in the clearance process.
